Well, first of all I'm a mom. But then... several years ago I got to that point in life when you stop being a full-time one. And then...
People ask me all the time if it's hard adjusting to being an empty nester and I say "huh?... You can't even imagine how busy it gets around here sometimes." Just not on my blog... *g*
Wow, I haven't been watching Idol this year and have never heard the 3 finalists before so I was startled just now to see how inferior they all sound to Clay. His voice is so stellar, his phrasing and delivery so distinctive. Like other legendary singers before him -- Elvis, Barbra, Judy, Frank -- his voice and presentation are special and unique. Those other 3 guys are cookie-cutter.

Chardonnay,
I'm with you on the vote. Clay Aiken -- no contest!
Thank you for your kind comment in the Carolina blog. What an awesome flow of information we enjoyed with our singer this weekend!
Have a great new week!

Oh there is no competition at all. Clay Aiken wins hands-down. He's been "the one" for 6 years now and will still be the one for years to come.
There is nobody like him.
